Help/Videos wont play
What to do if your downloaded videos won't play?

If you've downloaded VJ content (Loops, Clips or Backdrops) or sample clips from this site and you can't get it to play on your machine/VJ package, don't panic!

Normally this just means you're missing a video "codec" (COmpressor/DECompressor). All the codecs you need to play these files are free, and there's links for each type of file below.

Please select the type of file you're having a problem with:

VJ content:
  • MP4 File, filename ends with 1080p or 720p Test clip 1 (720p) | Test clip 2 (1080p)
If the test clip won't play then install VLC Media Player and try again.

  • MPG file, filename ends "MP2640" Download and install this MPEG2 codec.
This file type will work on PC and Macintosh.

  • MOV file, filename ends "MJP400" or "PJP640"
Download and install Apple Quicktime (you only need the free version).
This file type will work on PC and Macintosh.

  • AVI file, filename ends "MVQ512"
You need this codec "MVBeta" by Midivid.com. They recently removed the downloadable codec from their website so I'm mirroring it now with permission. Check out their current Midivid GPU project here.
This file type will work on PC but not on Macintosh.

Downloads
  • AVI file, filename ends "Divx"
Download and install DivX (you only need the free version). This file type will work on PC and should also work on Macintosh.
If you're sure your codecs are up to date and you're still having problems then please email us and we'll do what we can to help.
